The sands time... Too quickly they run through the hourglass of life. Hard to believe that 13 years of struggle have come to an end so quickly. What at first seemed to take an eternity has now flashed past my eyes. Maybe that experience in itself, is part of what growing up and maturing into young adulthood is all about.
I've lost count now of the amount of times I've had to say goodbye to people, what with my moving around a lot during my younger years and even up into late adolescence. But I've still never been good at saying goodbye. And this time around, saying goodbye pains me unlike anything I've ever experienced.
I just recently watched one of my favorite movies- Gladiator. And in that movie, there is a line that has inspired me to cope with having to say goodbye, and that prodded me to finish writing "Bookshelf" and to take on the confidence to tackle the world at large. So it is to all my beloved friends that I must say goodbye to that "We will meet again. But not yet. Not yet." We still have another great journey and adventure ahead of us. Let us go out and explore it. Though we are separated by miles of distance and years of time, we can count ourselves together in the fact that we are out there exploring and experiencing the world simultaneously and together. In 10 years time, I look forward to seeing everyone again, and to see where life has taken us.
Until then, the best of luck be with you on whichever road your journey should take.
